Silicone Coating

Camper Roof Repair

  • What exactly do you do?
We apply a silicone coat to the top of your camper to increase the life of your camper roof. The products we use are designed specifically for camper and RV roofs. Its chemistry provides a very strong bond to the camper roof providing extreme durability and protection to your camper. It also aids in reflecting UV rays resulting in better temperature efficiency.
  • Does my roof need this?
Most camper roofs are made of a thick canvas that starts to deteriorate after 5 - 10 years. One sign of this is black patches appearing through the white canvas. The camper roof is one of the most important aspects of your camper to insure there is no water damage leading to mold or other problems. Applying our silicone coat gives the old canvas roof new life with longer water protection as well as durability.
  • How much does this cost?
It depends on the size of your camper! We charge approximately $60 per linear foot for the roof of your camper. This includes the prep work, deep cleaning the roof, materials used, and application of the product.
  • How long does it take to apply the product?
We will come clean and condition the camper roof to insure proper adhesion of the product. We will let the camper roof dry for a day or two (depending on weather). The application of the product will take a half day once the roof has fully dried.
  • How long will it last?
It can last up to ten years if properly cared for. If at this point places have started to peel, subsequent layers can be applied to reseal the roof.
  • Is this a permanent fix?
This isn't a permanent fix, but is a great way to get the most out of the camper roof you currently have, extend the life up to ten years if properly cared for, and protect your roof from leaks. The other alternative is to get your camper roof replaced which can cost anywhere from $7,000 - $12,000.
  • How do I maintain my roof after this is applied?
Storing your camper indoors or buying a camper cover for the off season are great ways to protect your camper from the elements. To clean the roof it can be hosed off or wiped down. If at any point an area starts to peel, subsequent layers can be applied.
  • What experience do you have?
At Happy Camper RV Roofing we love the outdoors and traveling. We have taken an in-depth online course that has taught us how to fully renovate and care for campers. We have fully renovated a camper into a tiny home. We applied this product to our own camper and have loved the results! We have also had training from a similar business that has been applying this silicone coat for over 7 years. We have owned our own construction business for the past five years and know the importance of communication as well as quality work.

REVIEWS

"Bought this to cover/seal my motorhome roof to help with the AZ heat this summer. We winter in the Phoenix area and usually leave by May, this year we've decided to stay put. There are a lot of rigs in the RV park with additional window AC units but their electric bills are astronomical. We've already had several days of 100+ temps and the [silicone roof] has made a noticeable difference in keeping the temps manageable. We're really happy with the results."
